In this article, we’ll take a look at this new legal loophole that lets you buy delta-9 THC edibles online just like any other CBD products derived from hemp.

You’ll learn about taking delta-9 THC edibles, their effects, how they are made, and how delta-9 THC compares with other cannabinoids like delta-8 THC and CBD.

Legal Delta-9 THC Edibles

Delta-9 THC edibles are edible snacks made with Delta-9 THC extract from hemp. And, yes, that’s the kind of THC that gets you a “buzz”.

flowerz™ and Karma are among the first brands to begin selling the new legal THC edibles.

Each of their edibles contains 5-10mg of delta-9 THC and comes in a multitude of different sizes for the bargain shopper to the new aficionado.

Ten milligrams of delta-9 THC extract is the gold standard portion size for THC edibles. Doses higher than that can get a bit intense, which is why it’s typically recommended to start with just half a serving (5mg) and waiting up to an hour to see how it affects you.

flowerz™ offers multiple edibles, from caramels to brownies, and uses an all-natural, organic, and vegan-friendly formula for their delta-9 THC gummies (coming soon).

flowerz™ is a good example of quality hemp products because they show independent third-party lab tests that verify the purity, potency, and profile of their THC edibles.

Plus, they use only organic ingredients to make our delta-9 THC gummies, and according to verified customer reviews, the texture and flavors hit the spot just right.

Delta-9 THC gummies are completely federally legal and 2018 Farm Bill compliant, so that means you can order them online from anywhere in the USA and get them shipped to your doorstep.

Keep reading to learn how delta-9 THC edibles are legal and more about the effects of taking delta-9 THC edibles.

How Are Delta-9 THC Edibles Legal?

Not all Delta-9 THC products are legal, in order to be so they must adhere to the 2018 Farm Bill.

As it is described, any substance that contains more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight volume is to be defined as a controlled substance, e.g. marijuana.

So how is it possible to make 100mg delta-9 THC brownies that are only 0.3% THC by dry weight volume? It’s simple. Here’s how research and development work its magic.

Make the edibles a little bigger and voila! To make it a bit easier, the 0.3% THC is approximately 3mg/g of THC in any given product.

Karma’s Calming Caramels fall well within the 0.3% THC limit.

Another important factor to include is that the delta-9 THC extract used to make edibles is derived from phytocannabinoid-rich hemp flower and not marijuana.

How Are Delta-9 THC Caramels Made?

Delta-9 THC caramels are made similar to other types of caramels with soft, buttery, homemade goodness.

They’re manufactured using different types of sugar, butter, cream, and of course the most important ingredient, premium delta-9 THC extract from hemp.

However, not all delta-9 THC caramels are going to be made the same. As is with most things in the world, you get what you pay for. And buying cheap, subpar products could get you artificial additives, fillers, and toxic chemicals in your caramels.

The first thing to look for in a delta-9 THC caramel is an independent third-party lab test that confirms that purity, potency, and profile as advertised.

It’s an industry gold standard to show third-party labs for hemp products and if your retailer doesn’t it should immediately send up red flags.

Second, it’s best to choose a delta-9 THC caramel made with real, natural ingredients. If you’re taking cannabinoids for relief or recreation, the last thing you want is to expose yourself to unwanted chemicals, additives, or toxic fillers.

Go with an all-natural caramel or a vegan-friendly, organic caramel like the ones from Karma featured in this article.

Lastly, choose a reliable and reputable retailer that is trustable. Look for great verified customer reviews, return policies, and check to see how long they’ve been doing business successfully.

What Are Delta-9 THC Caramels Good For?

Delta-9 THC caramels are used to help with issues related to many aspects of wellness, as well as for recreation or enhancing experiences.

Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive cannabinoid and is responsible for all the classic effects from “getting high”. But THC also has many properties that hold therapeutic value for people dealing with symptoms related to:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Inflammation
  • Mood Swings
  • Cramps
  • Muscle Pain
  • Lack of Appetite
  • Stress
  • Lack of Sleep
  • And more

Delta-9 THC enhances the natural functioning of the endocannabinoid system and works by binding with cannabinoid receptors.

But delta-9 THC caramels aren’t just for when you want to feel better, they are perfect for enhancing creative experiences, nature, art, music, and help increase the ability to relax and enjoy a good nights’ sleep.

Do Delta-9 THC Caramels Get You High?

Each person responds to cannabinoids differently according to several factors including age, genetics, tolerance, dose, weight, environment, and more.

For some, an average 6mg dose of delta-9 THC is the perfect amount to feel adequate effects, however, many people may only need to take as little as 3mg to feel the same effects.

Always take cannabinoids in small amounts to begin and wait up to an hour to see how they will affect you before consuming more.

Is It Safe To Eat More Than One 6mg Delta-9 THC Caramel?

Cannabinoids such as delta-9 THC are psychoactive, but they are also non-toxic, which means they won’t cause any lethal or harmful side effects. If you are new to delta 9, it’s best to start with 3mg and under.

Delta-9 THC by itself isn’t harmful, and taking more than one caramel is generally considered to be safe.

It’s always best to slowly increase your dose over time until you’ve reached the desired effect, and to use delta-9 THC with moderation.

What Are The Side Effects of Delta-9 THC Caramels?

Delta-9 THC is, overall, a pretty safe substance, however, there are some short-term side effects to consider, but it’s nothing serious.

It can make your eyes and mouth dry. This one is easily remedied by staying hydrated and drinking fluids.

Cannabinoids might affect your blood pressure, which could cause dizziness or lightheadedness, or feeling colder or warmer. Some people may likely feel this effect more than others, and it’s only short-lived.

People sensitive to THC might find the effects of delta-9 overwhelming, especially if they’ve never tried it. In some rare cases, taking too much delta-9 THC can trigger anxiety and alertness.

Unwanted side effects of delta-9 THC are self-mediated over time as the substance wears off. Always enjoy delta-9 THC in moderate, responsible doses for the best outcome.

Delta 8 THC vs Delta 9 THC (Read More Here)

Many people are confused by delta-8 THC and delta-9 THC, which is understandable when it seems like there’s a new three-letter cannabinoid coming out every month.

You’re not alone if you’re wondering what’s the difference between delta-8 and delta-9 THC. The biggest difference is that delta-8 THC is about half as potent (psychoactive) as delta-9 THC.

The difference in potency comes from the location of a particular set of double-bonded atoms within the structure of the THC molecule. The location is described in the name delta-8 or delta-9 THC.

Ultimately, both compounds are known as isomers or analogs, compounds that are made up of the same atoms, but whose molecules are arranged differently.

Finally, delta-8 and delta-9 are simply two forms of the same chemical, THC. While they share most of the same effects and properties, delta-9 THC is much more potent than delta-8.

Delta 9 THC vs. CBD

CBD and delta-9 THC are both naturally occurring cannabinoids that share similar as well as divergent properties.

The primary difference between delta-9 THC and CBD is that CBD, or cannabidiol, doesn’t have intoxicating (psychoactive) properties. The psychoactive properties of cannabinoids such as THC are mediated in the brain by CB1 receptors.

CBD affects the CB1 receptors in the brain, but it has much more affinity for binding with CB2 receptors located throughout the peripheral nervous system in the body.

THC, on the other hand, has much more affinity for binding with CB1 receptors in the brain and central nervous system, which is how it exerts its psychoactive effects.

How is Rosin made?

Rosin can be made from either cannabis flower or hash, which is the collected kief (trichomes) of the Cannabis plant. If you have a grinder with a kief catch, you are probably already familiar! Rosin made from cannabis nugs tends to be slightly more difficult to enjoy, as plant matter almost always impacts the rosin. This does not impede the rosin’s potency but can cause an unpleasant flavor or smell for the user.

Once the cannabis source material is chosen, heat and pressure are applied. Most rosin for sale in dispensaries is created in a custom industrial press, though some users choose to make their own rosin at home with a hair straightener.

The applied heat and pressure to the cannabis material force out the cannabinoids and terpenes, similar to how canola or olives are pressed for oil. The end result is a cannabis concentrate with THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids as well as terpenes. The temperature and pressure applied correlate to the type of rosin produced. Rosin can be made into shatter, budder, taffy, and wax consistencies.
