There’s nothing like sparking up a pre-roll at the end of a long, stressful day and sinking into complete relaxation. Or, starting a day off on the right foot. Our THCa pre-rolls are convenient and packed with pure, potent hemp-based flower that packs a punch, perfect for any occasion.

But how many grams are in a pre-roll? That’s part of what makes these so great – there’s a pre-roll size for any preference! For instance, our mini pre-rolls are great for going solo with just a half-gram.

When you want to share the experience with friends and family, our king size pre-rolls are carefully stuffed with 1.5 grams of top-shelf THCa-rich flower. They’re also a lot of fun when you want to test your limits alone!

We even have standard-size pre-rolls when you want something in between these two extremes. No matter which you go with you can rest assured you’re getting a smooth burn and a true-to-strain cannabis experience. Learn more about pre-roll sizes below!

Why We Love Pre-Rolls

A pre-roll is exactly what it sounds like – a perfectly rolled joint, ready to smoke. It’s a hassle-free way to enjoy this classic cannabis experience without having to grind, pack, and roll your own joint by hand.

While we still love hand-rolling a joint every now and then, it’s an art that takes time, skill, and lots of practice to get right. It’s not easy to get a tight roll and even burn, especially for beginners. And let’s be honest – who wants to spend 5-10 minutes preparing for a session?

Pre-rolls eliminate the guesswork so every session is smooth, properly packed, and ready to light. You also know with 100% certainty how much you’re smoking, be it a half-gram or 2 grams. They’re great for taking on the go as well as enjoying at home.

But not all pre-roll experiences are created equal. The difference between a mini pre-roll and a king-size pre-roll can be pretty jarring. So, how many grams are in a pre-roll?

How Many Grams Are in a Pre-Roll?

Having access to so many different pre-roll sizes can be a blessing and a curse. It means you can perfectly tailor the experience to your preferences or the setting at hand. But beginners might have a hard time choosing the right size.

We’ve simplified it for you at Flowerz by offering 3 distinct sizes: minis, regulars, and king sizes.

Mini Pre-Roll (0.3g – 0.5g)

These are perfect for a short session where you don’t want to get totally fried, you’re just trying to take the edge off or you want to microdose. This is just enough flower for a quick hit without any waste.

While experienced users with a strong tolerance may not find them enough, most people will find these to be plenty for a solo session. Don’t let their small size fool you – our mini pre-rolls at Flowerz pack quite a punch!

Single Gram Pre-Roll (1g)

This is the most popular pre-roll size, perfect for a solo session when you have a higher tolerance and want to really indulge. These are great for sharing with one to two other friends as well as long as everyone has a fairly moderate tolerance.

They’re slow-burning and satisfying. You get a full experience without being overwhelmed. When in doubt about what size to go with, just stick with this one.

King Size Pre-Roll (1.5g+)

Those looking for a longer session with multiple friends, or someone really trying to push their limits and sink into the deepest relaxation possible, can consider the king-size pre-rolls we have to offer.

For some users, a single-gram pre-roll is just not quite enough. But the thought of taking down two single-gram pre-rolls is daunting. That would be way overdoing it. A 1.5 gram joint is the sweet spot.

These are a bigger and bolder smoking experience, not for the faint of heart. Save them for group settings where a single-gram pre-roll might not be enough for everyone. They’re also the go-to for heavy consumers with a high tolerance. They burn forever!

Factors That Affect the Experience

It’s worth noting that how many grams are in a pre-roll can be dictated by a few other factors as well. Brands do their best to be consistent in how much flower fits in their cones, but the actual weight can be affected by flower density in some cases.

Some strains are light and fluffy, while others are dense and compact. This determines how much actually fits into a pre-roll. It’s also important to keep in mind that some brands weigh their joints after they’ve been rolled, which means the paper is adding to the weight.

Thin papers add minimal weight, while thicker hemp wraps weigh slightly more. If you’re buying a 1g pre-roll with a thicker hemp wrap, you might actually be getting less than a gram of flower.

All that being said, how many grams in a pre-roll are right for you?

How Many Grams in a Pre-Roll is Right For You?

Ultimately choosing the right pre-roll size is as simple as taking your experience level and the setting into account. But you should also keep in mind that not all pre-rolls are created equal from a potency standpoint. A mini pre-roll infused with diamonds will hit harder than a standard 1g pre-roll. Here are some things to consider in choosing the right pre-roll size:

Choosing Based on Experience Level

Those new to smoking can prevent any unpleasant experiences by sticking with mini pre-rolls. These are a great starting point for a satisfying session without committing to too much at once.

Even more seasoned users find mini pre-rolls to be a practical way to indulge without derailing the rest of their day or evening. But many of these users also like keeping 1g pre-rolls on hand for when they have nothing on the agenda but chilling out.

The most experienced users should stick with either a 1g pre-roll or king-size pre-roll depending on their goals for the session. But don’t forget, there’s no rule saying you have to finish an entire pre-roll in one setting. There’s nothing wrong with putting it out halfway through and saving the rest for later!

Solo Sessions or Sharing

A 0.5 gram pre-roll might be plenty when you’re on your own, but add a friend or two into the mix and it won’t get the job done. Even a 1 gram joint might not cut it depending on how many people you have in the rotation and their respective tolerance levels.

A king-size pre-roll is your best bet for sharing because you won’t have to worry about “not getting high enough.” If anything, you’ll find that everyone in the circle agrees – you can put the joint out and come back to finish it later on.

Infused Pre-Rolls vs Regular Pre-Rolls

Remember, a 0.5g infused pre-roll might pack a more potent punch than a standard 1g joint. If the pre-roll contains just flower, you can smoke a bigger size than if it contains diamonds or live resin.

The quality of the flower matters, too. For instance, we here at Flowerz use only the finest top-shelf flower sourced from elite, ethical farms. The THCa flower in our pre-rolls is no joke. That being said, it’s time you picked the perfect pre-roll sizes from our catalog today!

How is Rosin made?

Rosin can be made from either cannabis flower or hash, which is the collected kief (trichomes) of the Cannabis plant. If you have a grinder with a kief catch, you are probably already familiar! Rosin made from cannabis nugs tends to be slightly more difficult to enjoy, as plant matter almost always impacts the rosin. This does not impede the rosin’s potency but can cause an unpleasant flavor or smell for the user.

Once the cannabis source material is chosen, heat and pressure are applied. Most rosin for sale in dispensaries is created in a custom industrial press, though some users choose to make their own rosin at home with a hair straightener.

The applied heat and pressure to the cannabis material force out the cannabinoids and terpenes, similar to how canola or olives are pressed for oil. The end result is a cannabis concentrate with THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids as well as terpenes. The temperature and pressure applied correlate to the type of rosin produced. Rosin can be made into shatter, budder, taffy, and wax consistencies.
